We specialise in the support, repair and on-going maintenance of mission critical electronic systems.
Eyedot (Europe) Ltd, a leading provider of electronic repair, design and system support, have today announced that they are further expanding the engineering team with the appointment of Olly Holloway as Senior Mechanical Engineer.
After gaining a degree in Engineering and Management at Cranfield University, Holloway has gone on to lead engineering projects for the likes of UNHCR that have taken him as far afield as Bhutan, Burma, Somalia, Ghana and Tanzania. He has extensive mechanical and systems design experience using 2D drafting packages from Autodesk and Dassault Systemes and more recently of 3D drafting using Dassault Systemes Solidworks and SpaceClaim DesignSpark.
“With my strong background in PLC controlled electro mechanical systems, fabrication and fitting experience, working with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, I am able to bring a new skillset to Eyedot that enhances the service offering that we provide. I am excited to join a company that is so passionate about finding solutions for their customers, and a team that excels in their commitment to electronic repair, design and build.” said Holloway.
News spread fast about the new appointment, and Holloway has already undertaken some heavy mechanical locomotive work for an existing customer who was delighted that Eyedot could now support them in this area too.
Speaking about the appointment, Clive Huntley, MD at Eyedot said: “I am very pleased to welcome Olly to the business. He brings with him an extensive background in mechanical engineering, which perfectly complements the existing skillset of our engineering team. The combination of his mechanical skills together with his experience of project/site management and risk assessment made him the perfect choice.”
